Part of the Cortina (.026) collection by by Italian designers Alberto Basagalia & Natalia Rota Nodari.
Alberto Basaglia and Natalia Rota Nodari met while studying at the Politecnico of Milan where they both graduated in architecture. Shortly after, they founded their studio, BASAGLIA ROTA NODARI. They completed their first design project in 1999 – the Antennati collection of side tables, clothing racks and more – winning first prize in the Young & Design competition. This was a powerful sign of much more to come. Since then, the duo has gone on to win numerous awards and recognition in architecture, design, interior space, food and town planning projects.
These Italian designers aim to transcend the typical image of the Italian designer. The pair achieve this by capturing beauty in equal measure with the technical aspects of their creations. Their visions manifest into award-winning, lovely furniture that captivates and stands the test of time.
“Seizing the specific energies of the person we are communicating with and finding the way to enhance them through the creation of alternative visions, often complementary to that which is already exists.” This is what the duo said about themselves in 2013, during the opening of “Alternative Synergies”.
