“Design is not a work of art, an unrepeatable unicum. Design is industrialized art. An expression of the company that produced it. To us, design means enhancing the value of the company through its products.”
The pair of Italian architects and designers, Alberto Basaglia and Natalia Rota Nodari, made their professional debut in 1997, founding the Associated Firm named after them. In 1999, they won their first product design prize in the Young & Design competition. They are known for interpreting a company’s need for an indoor & outdoor solution into a satisfying & beautiful, timeliness product.
Firmly convinced that doing design means engaging in a productive dialogue with one’s client, Basaglia & Rota Nodari approach product design by respecting the creative context and always keeping an eye on production costs. Since 1997, Alberto Basaglia and Natalia Rota Nodari have been developing projects for the interior architecture and construction sectors, as well as for the food sector, with the aim of putting into action design items with clean lines yet with a strong personality, that can be useful to those who use them as well as cost-effective for the companies that produces them.
