Lorenzo Negrello, born in Padova in 1953, graduated in Architecture from the University of Venice in 1977. From 1978 to 1988, he taught design at both the Institute of Art in Padova and the Art Lycée in Venice, inspiring a new generation of creatives. Between 1980 and 1996, Negrello partnered with architect Paolo Scagnellato, a collaboration that produced several acclaimed projects, including two nominations for the prestigious “Compasso d’Oro” Industrial Design award, a mark of excellence in Italian design.

In 1996, Negrello co-founded S.I. Design with Mirco Pegoraro and Mauro Naletto, bringing together a shared vision for innovation in furniture design, particularly for office and communal spaces. Today, S.I. Design operates with a focused team of eight professionals who merge creative exploration with advanced modeling technologies. Their work emphasizes Italian craftsmanship, ergonomic excellence & modern functionality, delivering tailored solutions that meet the evolving needs of contemporary work environments.
