Continuing Education Units (CEU) 

At Via Seating, we are dedicated to improving workplace research and knowledge for our customers and when collaborating with industry professionals. The Via Learning Studio offers continuing education courses (CEUs) for customers, designers, and industry professionals that are pre-approved by the IDCEC, AIA, and GBCI. These courses are designed to empower attendees with knowledge to improve their experiences in work and collaborative environments.

CEU 1: LEVEL 2019 Sustainability Certification and its Role in the Selection of Furniture

An evaluation and certification system for environmentally-preferable and socially responsible furniture

Description: Learn how BIFMA LEVEL® is defining the measure of sustainable furniture and making it easier than ever to find sustainable furniture options.

Learning Objectives:

  • Introduce BIFMA and explain LEVEL®
  • Define what LEVEL® measures
  • Explain how LEVEL® works
  • Compare BIFMA LEVEL® to other sustainability measures as it relates to building rating system requirements

CEU 2: Demystifying Furniture’s Role in Sustainability

Description: A mind-boggling number of environmental standards exist today. It seems each day something is greener, better and commanding more attention than the standards of the year past. This CEU course is designed to define and compare leading sustainability programs in the market today. It specifically explains the key role furniture plays in meeting and maintaining each standard. BIFMA LEVEL®—LEVEL is BIFMA’s sustainability certification program for furniture—has a rating system, which will be outlined and utilized to demystify furniture’s role in sustainability.
